2014 and 2015 Titan
Our customer Mike asked us about a Nissan Quest for his daughter-in-law, so Dave made this video to show Mike the all the bells and whistles that the van has. This model has power-sliding doors, a push-button start, 3 zone climate control (kids in the back get to pick their own temperature!), back-up camera, satellite radio, and DVD entertainment. Nissan announced the new Nissan Stadium in a press conference at 2:00 today. Below are photos and renderings from the announcement! Want more info on the Nissan agreement? Find it here.
Read “Goodbye LP Field, Hello Nissan Stadium” for more info about the Titans agreement.
Well, the cat is out of the bag. The Tennessee Titans have reached an agreement with Nissan for the naming rights of what is now known as LP Field. The new agreement is rumored to be a 20 year partnership with Nissan. Although it will take us a while to call it the “Nissan Stadium” and not “LP Field”, we’re pretty stoked about the change. Nissan has slowly but steadily become part of our culture in Nashville. Along with creating thousands of jobs and game-changing cars, Nissan has always backed the things we love: the Nashville Predators, music at the Ryman, and creative food at Taste of Music City. It just makes sense that a great brand with a great truck (named the Titan) would proudly add its badge to the Titan’s stomping grounds. If you’re like us, you’re dying to get a glimpse of what the stadium will look like, so check out these images of the Nissan Stadium (the proposed renderings, of course).
It’s not everyday that a teenager wins a new car. However, Luke Jacob worked hard to make good grades in school, and it paid off this Friday at Newton Nissan’s A’s Party. Students gathered here at the dealership to win prizes and meet Lunchbox from the Bobby Bones Show. Everyone held their breath as we picked a name from the box of over 270 entries. The prize was a 2015 Nissan Versa, and the winner was Luke Jacob. Since Luke was gone on Summer vacation, we had to call the family about the big news. “I thought someone was playing a joke on us”, said Luke’s dad, “I told my wife to hang up and call the dealership back to see if this was real!” Ironically, the family had just started shopping for an affordable used car for Luke, not knowing that their son was going to be the winner. Luke will be driving his new Versa to Hendersonville High School, where he’ll be a Senior this Fall. It was a rainy day in Nashville, but when Sarah asked about the 2015 Nissan Murano, Collin filmed a virtual “walk around” of the SUV and sent it to her phone. This is just another example of how our teammates at Newton Nissan make car-shopping easier for you.
Our management team was so sweet to treat our staff (and their families) to a Nashville Sound’s game this past week! For most of us, it was the first time to see the new stadium. The views of downtown Nashville are amazing. It felt so strange soaking up the sun in a wide-open space with little crowds, all while being surrounded by skyscrapers downtown. That’s Nashville for you.
The Sounds were victorious over the 51s that day, with a score of 1-0. The best victory of all, as cheesy as it may sound, was being able to spend some quality time with our staff, and getting to know their families a bit better. Over the past couple of years, our Newton family has grown into two dealerships in the Nashville area. Since then, a few weddings and babies have been born, bringing lots of new faces to our annual family outings. Special thanks to Bill Newton and Mike Abbondanza for treating to us to America’s favorite pastime! More photos of the Nashville Sounds game are on Newton Nissan’s Facebook page.
