Reserved Parking for Veterans

Friday, May 27th, 2016

Reserved parking signs for veterans are starting to pop up in Tennessee. One of our teammates spotted this sign (above) at the Opry Mills parking lot, near the entrance at Chuy’s and H&M. In another Tennessee city, the Knoxville mayor announced distribution of designated parking signs for Purple Heart recipients. Churches, restaurants, and living centers are just a few more places that are participating in this thoughtful trend.

While there is no way to ever repay our military men and women, this small gesture is a unique way for organizations to say “thank you” to those who sacrifice for us. Nissan is proud to support our veterans as the official automotive partner of the Wounded Warrior Project, where Newton Nissan serves as a Base Camp Sponsor. Additionally, the Nissan Military Program exists to give maximum savings on a new Nissan to our active, reserve, and retired veterans.

Captain America’s Team Drives a Nissan

Wednesday, May 25th, 2016

There’s only one van built to carry superheroes, and that’s the 2016 Nissan NV 2500 Cargo Van. In one of the most talked about movies this summer, Captain America: Civil War, Ant Man shows up in the back of a cargo van, fast asleep. He’s then abruptly awoken by the Avengers, where he gets to meet his biggest hero, Captain America.

This is not the first time that Nissan has joined forces with superheroes. Robert Downey Jr. has voiced several Nissan commercials, including the heart-warming polar bear commercial featuring the Nissan LEAF. Iron Man didn’t fight any villains in the commercial, but you could say he helped save the planet.

Two Students to Win 2016 Nissan Versa

Wednesday, May 18th, 2016

For the first time in its car giveaway history, The Newton Nissan family of dealerships is selecting two winners this year, instead of one. Newton Nissan has given away a brand new 2016 Nissan Versa to one lucky student in the Nashville area since 2009. Our auto family decided to give away two cars this year since we now have two dealerships in the community.

Students who wish to enter the contest will need to bring in their original report card to Newton Nissan at 1461 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN, by May 31st. For each “A” on their report card, students will receive an entry into this year’s drawing. The contest is open to all students, grades 9-12, enrolled in a Middle Tennessee high school during the 2015-2016 school year.

The winners will be selected at the dealership’s A’s Party on June 3rd, at 6 PM. The party, hosted by Lunchbox and Ray from the Bobby Bones Show, is an end-of-school year celebration with food and games for students and their families.

Luke Jacobs, Joshua Graves, Mia Tonyick, Mollie Hewitt, Julia Brown, and Paige Alcorn are all past winners of the Nissan Versa from Newton Nissan in Gallatin. To be a part of this group, be sure to come down to Newton Nissan with your report card. You could be our next winner!
