Lifted Truck

A lifted truck is the best way to explore the backroads and dirt trails of Tennessee and Kentucky. This simple modification gives you more ground clearance to avoid obstacles and increases the ride height of your truck, making it a popular choice among truck drivers everywhere. While adding a lift kit to your truck can be fairly straightforward, you can also buy a lifted truck from us. Here at Newton Nissan of Gallatin, we stock a number of lifted trucks and will help you find the perfect adventure vehicle for your lifestyle. Our Inventory of Lifted Trucks for Sale

No matter what brand or size of lifted truck you are looking for, you can find it here at Newton Nissan of Gallatin. Not only do we sell the full lineup of new Nissan trucks, we also have a large inventory of used trucks from every major brand. Whether you are a fan of Ford, Ram, Chevy, GMC, Toyota, or Jeep, we can help put you in the driver’s seat of a truck that you will love. Our used inventory changes regularly, and our lifted trucks are a particularly hot commodity, but if you desire a pickup that’s a bit more capable than what you can get from the factory, we will do our best to match you with the perfect truck.

Every used truck we sell goes through a careful inspection process before we put it out on our lot, and that includes our lifted trucks. We know that aftermarket modifications can be a source of worry for used car buyers, but rest assured that we only permit the highest-quality lifted trucks to be sold under the Newton Nissan name. A properly installed lift kit is nothing to worry about, and our service technicians check both the quality of the parts and the quality of the installation before signing off on a used lifted truck. Plus, every used truck we sell comes with a free CARFAX vehicle history report to give you added peace of mind.

If you would rather be the first owner of your truck, then we can help you there as well. The Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Nissan Titan PRO-4X offer incredible off-road capability, including increased ground clearance over the less-adventurous trims of these two models. While they may not ride quite as high as a truck with an aftermarket lift kit, a brand-new Nissan PRO-4X model will give you that new car smell and comprehensive factory warranties. Plus, a new Nissan can be easily upgraded with a factory lift kit if you really want that extra height.

Some truck brands offer factory-approved lift kits. While these are still added to the truck after it is sold, they do not void the warranty and are fully supported by the manufacturers. If you want more than a factory-fresh truck can provide, then finding a used truck with one of these lift kits installed is a great in-between option. Nissan, for example, offered a factory-authorized lift kit for the 2018 and 2019 Titan and Titan XD that was manufactured by ICON Vehicle Dynamics. This premium lift kit offers adjustable coilovers with up to 3 inches of lift, making any vehicle equipped with it a great buy.

What You Need to Know About Lifted Trucks

Are you new to lifted trucks? Don’t worry––we help customers like you every day. Our truck experts can walk you through all the pros and cons of driving a lifted truck and help you find the perfect lift for your needs. Did you know that all lifts aren’t the same? There are actually a couple of different types of lift kits available, including body lifts, suspension lifts, and leveling kits. What you want your lifted truck for will determine which type of lift kit is right for you. If you aren’t sure, just speak to our friendly sales team, and we will help you decide. We can even give you a test-drive in a few different lifted trucks to give you a better idea of what they are capable of.

  • A leveling kit is the most basic type of lift. Most factory trucks are designed to ride a little higher in the rear, so the truck levels out when it is loaded down with a full bed or is hooked up to a heavy trailer. While this might make sense for work trucks, it doesn’t look the best. A leveling kit will raise the front of the truck––evening things out and improving the approach angle.
  • A body lift is the simplest way to lift your truck as it doesn’t change the factory suspension. Instead, it simply adds spacers between the body of the truck and the frame. A body lift won’t directly increase the ground clearance of the truck, but it will allow you to fit bigger tires, which can improve off-road performance. A body lift is also an affordable way to get that lifted look.
  • A suspension lift is the most capable and most complex type of lift kit. This will replace the factory suspension components to increase the ground clearance of the truck. A small lift will usually only replace the springs and shocks, but a tall suspension lift can require the replacement of nearly the entire suspension. The upside is that you get an extremely capable and good-looking vehicle that you can count on to handle just about anything.

The most important thing to keep in mind when buying a lifted truck is that bigger isn’t always better. While a taller lift will give you more ground clearance and allow you to fit bigger tires on your truck, the added ride high can reduce the ride quality and handling of the truck. If you are an avid off-roader looking to hit the trails around Nashville, then going for the largest lift you can find might make sense. But if you spend a lot of your time commuting on the highways and interstates of Tennessee, you may want to find a truck with a more moderate lift. A taller lift can also make it more difficult to access the cab and bed of a truck, so keep that in mind when you are shopping.

If you are interested in a lifted truck that needs new tires, or the current tires just aren’t aggressive enough for your needs, don’t forget to check out our on-site tire shop. We stock affordable tires in a wide variety of sizes, allowing you to get the most out of your lifted truck. Whether you are looking for light truck tires, all-terrain tires, or mud-terrain tires, we have options from all the major tire brands, including Goodyear, Bridgestone, Hankook, and more. While a lift kit is a great way to improve your truck’s off-road performance, the importance of a set of good tires cannot be overstated.
