Find the Rogue at Newton Nissan

Nissan is building excitement with the newest generation of the Nissan Rogue, and the latest updates to Nissan’s best-selling crossover make it a fresh, youthful addition to the lineup now available at your Nashville Nissan Rogue dealer. Featuring the Intelligent Mobility platform, the Rogue delivers the means for all Rogue drivers to stay connected and safe with generous tech and driver-assist features across all trims. Few manufacturers offer so many standard conveniences at Nissan’s low price point, and the thoughtful use of space provides ample storage that includes the Divide-N-Hide cargo floor for the rear compartment.

A sleek and muscular appearance on the outside makes a statement while you drive, with slimmer headlights fitted into the angular front end, the unique V-Motion grille, and the trimmed body sides that give the updated Rogue a leaner look. Advanced available features like ProPilot Assist take some of the fatigue out of long trips by monitoring speed and distance from other cars on the highway, even in stop-and-go traffic. Conveniences like a hands-free liftgate, wireless charging, and a head-up display are available in upper trims to give buyers more luxury and refinement without having to pay luxury car prices.

Rogue History and Overview

Nissan introduced the Rogue to the US in 2007 for the 2008 model year as competition to other popular compact models like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. Originally powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the Rogue offered good fuel economy for an SUV at 24 mpg combined. The Rogue has always come with the option for all-wheel drive and with its engine paired to a continuously variable transmission. Pricing has remained low for the segment, yet features have been generous over the years with steering wheel-mounted controls, powered accessories, and remote keyless entry.

Aspects of the innovative design for the Nissan Rogue over the years included clever and plentiful storage that lends itself to family travel, a well-sorted suspension that gives the Rogue agility for good handling, and active safety features like vehicle stability control that make the Rogue easy to drive. Even in its earliest models, tech like Bluetooth and a Bose sound system were available for upper trims, and over the years, the technology continued to be an increasingly important part of the features offered for every trim level.

For 2012 models, the introduction of the 360-degree camera system—called the Around View Monitor—was made available for the SL trim. During the second generation, introduced for 2014, the Rogue could come as a three-row SUV. In 2017, Nissan offered a special edition called “Rogue One” in partnership with the Star Wars movie of the same name. This special edition came in white with black trim and included a death trooper helmet replica along with “Rogue One” badging.

2021 Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is available in four trims: S, SL, SV, and Platinum. Still considered a compact SUV, the Rogue continues its innovative design to optimize cargo space with 36.5 cubic feet of storage in the rear trunk area and up to 74.1 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down. Technology included in all trims starts off with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability accessed through a large eight-inch touchscreen above the center stack and a standard suite of six driver-assist safety features that include rear automatic braking and blind-spot warning.

Similar to the Rogue, the Nissan Rogue Sport is a smaller version of the original crossover, falling into the subcompact SUV segment. It offers similar features and driving manners for road-based functionality at a lower price and is geared toward city drivers who prefer a vehicle with a smaller footprint. The 2021 Rogue Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a continuously variable transmission. Like its larger sibling, the Rogue Sport has available all-wheel drive and comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360 driver-assist features. Tech such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available connected services are accessed through the standard seven-inch touchscreen.

Upper trims for both the 2021 Rogue and 2021 Rogue Sport lend themselves to a premium interior that is both comfortable and luxurious. Leather upholstery with contrasting stitching, heated seats, and dual-zone or tri-zone automatic climate control are just a few of the enticing comforts in the uppermost trims. Technology like Amazon Alexa capability, Nissan’s Door to Door Navigation, and remote features accessible via an app on your smartphone are all part of the experience with the updated design of this new generation.
