Ever since it was first introduced, year after year, the Nissan Rogue just keeps getting better, and people haven’t stopped noticing it. While there’s no denying that the Rogue looks stunning and has a sleek overall design, there’s a lot more to it than just good looks. As your Nissan SUV dealer, we love the full lineup of Nissan models, but we have to admit there’s just something about the Rogue that really captures the imagination. Maybe it’s the name and the general attraction that so many of us feel toward scoundrels and rogues, or perhaps it’s the impressive array of features inside and out. It’s probably the impressive features, so let’s take a look at what the 2022 Nissan Rogue brings to the table and why so many people find themselves captivated by it.

Excellent Power and Performance

The heart of any vehicle is its engine, and even when you’re talking about a compact crossover like the Rogue, you still want it to have a decent amount of power in it. Fortunately, Nissan understands this, and one of the things so many people love about the Rogue is just how nimble and sporty it is and how much fun it is to drive. Powering the 2022 Rogue is a 1.5L Variable Compression Turbo 3-cylinder engine, which delivers a surprising 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque.

A lot of similar compact models out there really skimp on the power, and you end up with something that feels weak and uninspired. The Rogue is quick and joyful on the road; plus, even though it comes with front-wheel drive as the standard option, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is available on every model. A continuously variable transmission provides you with a smooth driving experience, plus it features a manual mode with paddle shifters to put you in control and let you really have fun on the road.

Best-in-Class Fuel Economy

Although hybrid and all-electric options might be the best overall if you’re looking for the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the road, there are still some excellent standard models for keeping your gas costs low. The Nissan Rogue is one of the most efficient vehicles available anywhere, thanks to its smart design and the economic engine that is engineered for the best overall driving experience. If you choose a model with front-wheel drive, then the Rogue gets an estimated 30 MPG in the city, 37 MPG on the highway, and 33 MPG combined fuel economy.

This makes the Rogue the best in its class when it comes to fuel economy with a conventional gas engine rather than a hybrid. Choosing a model with all-wheel drive will sacrifice a bit of this efficiency, but not much: an all-wheel drive model gets an estimated 28 MPG in the city, 34 MPG on the highway, and 31 MPG combined fuel economy. No matter which Rogue you choose, you’ll be able to drive a long time without stopping for gas while also enjoying the sporty performance it offers.

Plenty of Space Inside

As a compact crossover model, you probably don’t expect the Nissan Rogue to be able to fit much inside, but it’s been designed with plenty of room to take advantage of. This is a two-row SUV with seating for up to five passengers: two in the front and three on the bench seat in the rear. Even with five people inside, everyone has plenty of room: the folks in the front get about 41 inches of headroom and around 41 inches of legroom, while rear-seat passengers get around 43 inches of headroom and about 38 inches of legroom. Overall, you can get 105.4 cu.ft. of total passenger volume inside, though you lose a bit if you choose a moonroof.

You also get plenty of space inside the Nissan Rogue for everything you want to be able to take with you. Behind the rear seats, you get more than 36 cu.ft. of cargo space to load up, and with the rear seats down, the Rogue offers more than 74 cu.ft. of total cargo capacity. The combination of bold performance, sleek design, and a surprisingly spacious interior come together in the Rogue to showcase how well Nissan’s engineers understand what people need.

Sleek and Stunning Outside

Many of these features, while excellent, are typically discovered once someone takes the Nissan Rogue for a test drive; however, what tends to capture people’s attention initially is the look of this SUV. From the outside, the Rogue is beautifully designed and has an exterior that goes beyond much of what we expect from a compact crossover. Depending on the model you choose, you’ll find it with 17-inch, 18-inch, or 19-inch wheels, wrapped in all-season tires.

Every Nissan Rogue comes with Intelligent Auto Headlights, featuring LED daytime running lights and headlights, plus LED tail lights. A power liftgate is available to add functionality to its gorgeous look, with motion-activated technology on high trims. If you really want to take your experience to the next level, then you can choose a dual-panel panoramic moonroof to give your passengers a stunning view of the sky overhead.

Innovative Interior Features

Technology inside the Nissan Rogue makes it incredibly fun to drive and provides you with an exquisite combination of comfort and functionality. You can get dual-zone or tri-zone automatic temperature control to make sure all of your passengers are comfortable, while remote keyless entry and a push-button ignition are both standard. Other available features include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, interior accent lighting, and a wireless charging pad.

If comfort is what you’re looking for, then you’ll love the available 8-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power front-passenger seat, along with available quilted semi-aniline leather-appointed seating throughout. You can get a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, and memory functions for the driver’s seat and side mirrors. An 8-inch infotainment display is standard, with a 9-inch screen available, and you can get a head-up display, Navigation system, and a stunning Bose premium sound system to make your driving experience truly exceptional.

Keeping You Safe and Sound

Above and beyond all other things, your car should be able to keep you safe when you’re on the road. One of the things that so many people appreciate about the Rogue is that every model, regardless of which trim or other features you’re interested in, comes with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced safety technologies standard. This includes an Intelligent Forward Collision Warning to alert you when a crash seems likely to occur, plus Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection to help you avoid colliding with something or minimize the damage if a crash does occur.

This package also includes a Lane Departure Warning to alert you if you seem to be drifting out of your lane and a Blind Spot Warning to let you know when someone is in your blind spot. Every model also features a Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Automatic Braking to warn you when something is passing behind you while you’re in reverse and to help you avoid a crash while backing up. There are also a few available options like Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention and ProPILOT Assist, which can automatically help manage your speed and distance with traffic around you and help you stay centered in your lane.

It’s Easy to Be Drawn to the Nissan Rogue

As you can see, everything just comes together beautifully for the Nissan Rogue, and it’s no surprise that so many people are drawn to it year after year. From the perfect amount of power and fuel economy to make it the best choice for commuting to the comfortable interior everyone is bound to love, the Rogue really has it all. We are always happy to see this SUV arrive on our lot, and we are sure you’ll be happy to have it in your driveway.
